Lately I had a couple of lengthy phone conversations with talkative people that where
explaining their world view and their certainty of knowing where we are all going as human beings.
I was just reflecting on that kind of energy asking myself "where do I belong in that picture" when your writing landed in my in-box. It instantly loosened up the solidity of ideas, thoughts, feelings. It didn't overshadow them but just put them in the right place: "movie of life constantly shapeshifting" . Thank you for your curiosity and joy.
Joan, your labels, words, expressions lift my eyes from the map and land me in some territory. Thank you for leading me out of the search and being at ease with the unanswered wonder of it.
During the time of my wayward youth, my circle of hip musician friends would greet with, "What it is!?" (The double punctuation was implied by the intonation.) To which the standard response was, "It's ALL happening!" I think I was reminded of this by the awe, wonder and gratitude that arise from this reading. I love it, Joan. Thank you so much.
